Zozo Pixie Cables knitting pattern

August 5, 2010 | Category: babies

My latest knitting pattern is FINALLY done!! I have been meaning to get this released since.. umm.. january LOL. But anyway, so what if it’s August already. It’s done, and now you can make your very own Zozo Pixie Cables baby hat. This is the pattern I use to make the newborn cabled chin strap hats I sell in my etsy store. And YES, this pattern does include true newborn sizing all the way up to toddler+. The pattern is available for immediate download for $5.00AUD.

About Zozo Pixie Cables:
A cute little pixie hood bound to delight. Easy cables and a simple shape make it a quick and satisfying knit. The magic happens when you pick up stitches for the ribbed band and you see the pixie point just pop right up!

Just wanted to say that my mum called today to say what a pleasure it was to knit the pixie hood. She has just started in a second which she is going to do in stripes rather than using the cable, just because she has some nice yarn and I am obsessed with stripes ;-) Baby is due imminently and she is so excited to be knitting for him. She said I must contact you to say how brilliant the pattern is and to also compliment you on your instructions and the online video help – she really was so happy. so thank you!

I absolutely love this pattern! I just purchased it so I could make it for my friend’s soon-to-be-born baby, but when I downloaded the PDF, it comes out scrambled so I can’t read the pattern. Any ideas?

I learned to knit two years ago when I became a cuddler at our local NICU. I make your Beanie Baby hats to keep the babies warm while in the hospital and then to take them home as keepsakes. They are a huge hit with the hospital staff, as well as the parents. Can I adapt the Zozo hat for our preemies? How do I download it?

  23. amanda on June 12th, 2013

HI Nancy. That is wonderful! I’m so glad the beanies are warming such tiny heads. The zozo pattern does include a “true newborn” size which is pretty small and intended for babies under 2 weeks old. Having had a premie myself, I don’t think it would be quite small enough for a TINY prem. You can purchase it via this post, or you can find it on ravelry and in my etsy store :)
