Matilda Jane Photo Love – Sydney children’s photographer

I was one of the photographers specially chosen to enter the Matilda Jane “photo love” contest. Each of the photographers had the same dress posted out to them. Our challenge was to put our own “spin” on the dress, to photograph it in our own style. Well it took a long time for my dress to arrive (MJC is located in the USA, so I was waiting on international postage) and I had to use my backup (non favourite, not as fabulous) camera, but I managed to get a shot I LOVE! I almost thought it wasn’t going to happen. Lilly (my model *and* daughter) is notorious for being absolutely impossible in front of the camera, but on this day I found what made her tick (probably for only this day though, hehe) and she shone! The deadline to get my entry in was today, and I wanted to share the photograph I chose to send to Matilda Jane. I love it because it is both so “her” and so “me” at the same time.
I may share a couple that didn’t “make the cut” later on, I just have no time to proof them now. Such a busy time of year!
