One on one mentoring session – Sydney baby child photographer
December 21, 2009 | Category: kids
I mentored a girl in my very first one-on-one mentoring session today! It was so much fun. Two of my daughters were my little models, helping show how to “do” things and letting my “protegee” (Haha!) experiment with how different lighting and composition and settings work to produce a photograph. We are doing two more sessions together, and it is my hope that by the end of it she will have been stuffed FULL of fantastic knowledge that she can put to use straight away
One of my images from today:

Another reason why this particular mentoring for me is so fun, the girl I am mentoring is one of my many cousins! We are the same age and although we were GREAT friends as kids, we haven’t seen eachother in probably 5 years or more (she lives in New Zealand!). So when Bek contacted me several weeks ago to see if I’d be able to give her some photography lessons, I was allover it
